Rachel Pike

 CertVA CertSAM MRCVS

Rachel qualified from Edinburgh University in 1988. After two years in practice she co-founded the AMC wityh Pip Boydell. She continued studies in small animal anaesthesia, gaining her certificate in 1992, and then in medicine, obtaining her internal medicine certificate three years later.

Since obtaining her certificates, Rachel has continued her studies and refined her skills in endoscopy and ultrasonography, the AMC's extensive range of video-endoscopes and top of range ultrasound machines enabling her to undertake a wide range of non-invassive and minimally invassive diagnostic procedures. In addition to general internal medicine, Rachel has specific interests in intensive and neonatal care.

In addition to her small anima interests, Rachel manages a breeding alpaca herd at the Alpaca Medical Centre, a subsidiary of the AMC, has a flock of hens producing free range eggs and several bee hives producing honey for local sale.

In the small amount of free time available to her, Rachel likes to compete at dressage (photograph).
